Charlottenberg is located in western Värmland, right on the Norwegian border. Thanks to the railway, the town is well connected to both Stockholm and Oslo.
By train
Charlottenberg has its own railway station – Charlottenbergs station – served by SJ and Vy on the Stockholm–Oslo route. It is one of the few stops along that route where you can step off in the middle of a lively border town.
- From Stockholm: approx. 3.5–4 hours
- From Oslo: approx. 2–2.5 hours
- From Karlstad: approx. 1 hour
Järnvägshotellet is literally 50 metres from the station building – there is no easier way to arrive.
